We started our journey in Praiano as all we had to do was walk to the end of the street from our Air B&B. It was supposed to be straight forward but we managed to take a wrong path or two but finally found the right way. We came across this skyline and carriage which we later found out went to the Convento di Santa Maria a Castro. 
When you find these stairs you will know you are on the path to the Convento di Santa Maria a Castro and to the Path of the Gods beyond.
The stairs are adorned with many beautiful stone carvings.
The railings are very old looking. That looks to me like a forged nail. Not your mass produced variety.
